Spark Coffee + Crafts

Spending some quality time alone is needed especially after a stressful week. Coffee shops are an ideal place for that quality time alone. Although there are coffee shops inside the mall, there are times, you can't find the peaceful ambiance you're looking because of the crowd.

Spark Coffee + Crafts is a new local coffee shop in Davao that's cozy, affordable and quiet. It's located at Unit 56C Paseo Building Ruby Corner Opal St, Marfori Street, Poblacion District, Davao City.

I like how simple and minimal their menu is so I won't have a hard time choosing on what to drink and what to eat. 

They have the usual Latte, Mocha,Caramel Macchiato served hot and cold. I tried their Iced Caramel Macchiato which is really good. Unlike the usual, the coffee taste is not too strong yet the presence of the coffee is still there.

Banana and Blueberry Waffle

As of the moment, they have 3 freak shakes : Chocolate, Vanilla and Matcha. I tried the Matcha one (I must admit I'm not a huge fan of Matcha and I'm only drinking it for the sake of being healthy), I like how the Matcha is not too strong, perfect for those who want to try Matcha but is hesistant that the Matcha taste may be overpowering.

This one is not on their menu but I suggest you guys try it, I call it their signature drink since I have never tried it at other coffee shops. It's BAEspresso, Banana + Almond + Espresso. It reminds of of Banana Milk, the one Koreans love to drink with a coffee twist. If you want to try something unique then you must order your BAEspresso.

Chicken Fajitas

As for their food, they have waffles, sandwiches and pasta. They have the usual chocolate waffle, banana and blueberry and for matcha lover, matcha with mangoes and red mung beans.

Lasagna

They only have one pasta as of the moment, the lasagna. The size is good for sharing but it always depend upon your appetite.

Their sandwiches are to die for!

Caramel Macchiato + BAEspresso

If you're a cheese lover, I highly suggest the Frenchees, a deep fried sandwich with oozing cheese and honey mustard dip on the side. It tastes good without the dip but it tastes heavenly with the dip.
For those who are on a diet, Chicken Fajitas is for you, I like how they fresh the vegetables are. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of veggies but I can't help but eat the Fajitas, don't forget to add lime and salsa to make the sandwich more mouth watering.

Matcha Freak Shake

Last but not the least was the Spark sandwich, it's their own version of Philly Cheese Steak. What I like about their sandwiches is that  one order can really fill you up.

Aside from their satisfying food and drinks, they also sell calligraphy paraphernalia like pens and basic calligraphy starter kit.
