2022 : How to Be A Better You






Every new year, people make new year's resolution and usually their resolution is to be the best version of themselves.We have so many plans to improve ourselves at the start of the year but most often we don’t push thru with it because we get lost along the way. Changes doesn’t have to be drastic,small changes is ok because it’s still progress.  So I listed some things that you may want to check out to be the best version of yourself this 2022.


Exercise

Being healthy is super important especially during this pandemic and regular exercise has a lot of benefits like it makes you happier, improve symptoms of anxiety,reduces stress, increase your energy level, reduce the risk of chronic disease,help skin healthy,improve sleep quality and it makes you lose weight.

Walk Pad

Running outside can be a bit of a struggle most especially nowadays you need to wear a mask when going outdoors so I suggest why not walk inside the comfort of your home. So walkpad is basically a treadmill alternative that's compact,lightweight and portable. It's a perfect device for those who have small spaces.





Yoga Mat / Exercise Mat

I believe this the most essential item you need to have when starting your fitness journey. Yoga mats are not only limited in doing yoga but it also serves as a cushion protection when doing other kinds of workout. These mats provide comfort,cleanliness,support and safety.




Workout Routine

You don't need to spend a lot of money to start your fitness journey. There are workout videos in YouTube but if you want more variety, you can download FREE apps to help you with your fitness journey. One of my favorite apps is the NTC which means Nike Training Club,it can customize your workout based on your muscle group target,workout focus and equipments.



Eat Healthy / Drink Healthy

Working out and eating healthy do work hand in hand for you be healthier and they also have the same benefits.

I'm sharing to you guys some gadgets and tips and tricks that can help you to start eating healthy.



Portable Blender

It is ideal when dieting or trying to eat or drink healthy because it let’s you drink these healthy shakes on the go. Drinking shakes increases consumption of fruits and vegetables,it increases fiber intake by adding high fiber foods into your smoothie,shakes can also be a meal replacement and it helps manage food cravings.

Just remember: 

  • If drinking smoothies for weight loss, be sure to select low sugar, low carbohydrate, and low-fat ingredients
  • Measure ingredients carefully so you can calculate an accurate nutritional content
  • Balance the sugar in fruits with dark leafy green vegetables, like kale or spinach, which can deliver a healthy dose of fiber, vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, and other nutrients; usually, you would limit fruit to one cup
  • Remember that flavored yogurts have higher sugar content than plain, unflavored yogurt that only contains the natural milk sugar lactose
  • Healthy homemade smoothies are best made with nutritional options like one-percent milk, unsweetened soy milk or unsweetened almond milk; can also use antioxidant-rich green tea or no-calorie water

White Rice Alternatives

Since rice is a staple in Filipino diet, it will be a challenge to completely eliminate it, trying out other kinds of rice or rice alternatives when craving for rice.

Job’s Tears or Adlai rice is another great white rice alternative. Job's tears contains chemicals that might interfere with cancer cell growth. Other chemicals might also have antioxidant effects and might also decrease growth of bacteria and parasites. There were studies that said that fiber contained in Job's tears might decrease how much fat and cholesterol the body absorbs.





Air Fryer
