At its 2024 media preview event in Las Vegas, realme formally revealed that the flagship periscope telephoto lens will be part of the realme 12 Pro Series. Attendees were given a first look at the new realme 12 Pro Series as the world's fastest-growing smartphone brand displayed its sophisticated watch design and cutting-edge periscope telephoto technology. Some experts believe this phone may be the best imaging phone in its class.

In addition to revealing that 2024 will be the year of rebranding, realme just released an open letter from its founder and CEO, Sky Li, along with its new tagline, "Make it real." This press conference served as realme's first formal announcement after rebranding. The realme number series will be positioned as the direction of next-generation imaging, much as the phrase repositions realme as a tech brand that has a deeper understanding of young users.

Empowering Young Users with Next-gen Imaging Through The Flagship Periscope Telephoto Lens

Young users are expected to favor telephoto lenses with 3X zoom or greater over those with only 2X zoom, according to realme's research. The only practical option for enabling high zoom levels in thin phones is a periscope telephoto.

Although this technology is expensive and has technological difficulties that are often only encountered by flagship smartphones, realme is dedicated to closing this gap by making flagship-exclusive periscope telephoto technology accessible to a larger group of youthful consumers.
