Embracing Positivity: How MLBB Philippines Community Cup Redefines Esports Culture
Through a series of MLBB-themed activities, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines, in collaboration with Xiaomi Philippines, has concluded its campus visits at National University of Laguna and Technological Institute of the Philippines, Quezon City. The program's goals were to encourage healthy gaming, teamwork, and a sense of belonging among students.
Word games, raffles, and a career presentation with global game publisher and developer MOONTON Games, who spoke about the prospects available to students in the esports and gaming industries, are among the engaging events.
"Regardless of your college degree, if you have a passion for MLBB, it can help you get employment. Human resource head for MOONTON Games in the Philippines, Stephen Mabasa, said, "We've worked with a lot of marketers, social media moderators, broadcast managers, logistics managers, talent handlers, and operations managers who play an important role in mounting a successful campaign."
Additionally, the conference discussed strategies for creating a more positive gaming environment for the community and emphasized that the publisher takes discrimination, cheating, and trashtalking seriously.
The term "toxicity in gaming" refers to a variety of undesirable actions that can create an unfriendly and antagonistic atmosphere. In order to promote a healthier community, it is imperative that we, as gamers, acknowledge these habits," Mabasa continued.
MLBB has been putting policies in place both inside and outside of the game to guarantee a safe gaming environment and provide a welcoming environment where players can enjoy themselves. This covers community-building activities like this one, moderation and enforcement, and the in-game reporting mechanisms.
On February 8, 2024, the friendly MLBB tournament in SM City Manila conducted its MLBB Community Cup Grand Finals day.
With a brand-new Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and 50,000 in-game diamonds, MKHR E-sports won the largest portion of the prize pool. The Xiaomi Smartband 8 was won by teams Kahit Ano Nalang Pre team and Dignidad, while the Redmi Buds 4 Pro and City Sling Bags were awarded to NUAG Mystic (National University - Laguna), the first runners-up.
